Chroma Complex, a compilation of paintings, video, photography and installation, is a concept that led to a show at the Lionel Rombach Gallery in Tucson, AZ in 2018. The work embodies the visually deceptive qualities of color within two-dimensional spaces. Various colorful planes are paired with reflective surfaces, producing images that continuously shift and merge as the viewer moves through the gallery. Through painted walls, shadows, and reflections the work addresses the space beyond its edges, highlighting its physical presence. By synchronizing movement and perspective, the work emphasizes the experiential and ephemeral nature of color within our surroundings.
